A Dancing Tree Gong Bath is an opportunity to relax, rebalance and restore mind, body and soul whilst laying in the powerful soundscapes of the gong, voice, and other instruments.
Sessions are structured in such a way that aims to support the shedding of stagnant energy, hold space whilst you are reset and replenished, and gently grounds you in your refreshed, relaxed state ready to return to the world anew.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
You will need to bring with you a comfy mat to lie on (a thick yoga mat is great for this, and Ashley has a few available to hire) or a garden recliner, a warm blanket to lie under, a pillow for your head, an additional pillow or bolster for behind your knees, and maybe water and a snack for after. Tissues may also be a good idea.
WHAT DO I DO AT A GONG BATH?
Nothing! Gong Bath participants lie down for the duration of the session, comfy and warm as they relax and allow the sounds and vibrations to flow over them. People sometimes dip in and out of sleep, or fall into deep meditative states, but most can expect a chance to switch off and reconnect mind and body through relaxation.
MAY I MOVE AROUND IF I NEED TO?
Ideally all participants should be still, quiet and mindful of affecting the experience of others in attendance, but feel free to change positions, use the bathroom or reach for water or a tissue as required.
WHAT IF I SNORE?
If you're self-conscious about falling asleep and snoring (everyone makes some noise or other every now and again, we're only human!), you could try lying on your side to diminish the likelihood of snoring, and even coming with a friend who you've instructed to give you a poke should the snoring become disruptive.
HOW COULD A GONG BATH AFFECT ME?
Gong Baths use multiple frequencies and volumes throughout via the gong, a variety of instruments and voice, and this means that each individual will have a different experience tailored to what their needs are. Ashley intuitively feels for what is needed from those in attendance, and no two gong baths will ever be carbon-copies of each other. Attendees often report better sleep, rejuvenation, more energy, pain relief, relaxation, shifting and release of stuck emotions, better mood, and letting go of tensions.
IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD BE MINDFUL OF?
Yes - in some individuals who have suppressed traumatic experiences or are struggling with their mental health, the emotional releases often catalysed by the Gong Bath can be intense or take a few days to subside.
If you're worried that a Gong Bath may affect you adversely, speak to Ash before booking - it may be that a one-to-one Sound Healing with the Voice may be a better place to begin your healing journey.
It is not recommended that you attend if you: have a Pacemaker fitted, are epileptic, are pregnant. Metal implants fitted within your body may also cause you some discomfort during a Gong Bath, but for these and any other condition you're unsure about, please seek advice from your GP before attending.
I WEAR A HEARING AID - CAN I STILL ATTEND?
It's recommended that you turn down or remove any hearing aids, as the gong will be very loud at times.
